• Hello!

I have a bit of a problem and I’m hoping someone can help me. Since I created my blog back in April, I’ve been unable to get any type of “next/previous page” or page number to display. I’ve tried downloading well-rated page number plugins, I’ve tinkered with the search.php coding as instructed in several “Read Me” files, and still nothing.

I’ve even deleted my footer image, just on the off chance that perhaps it was covering up the page numbers after I installed the plugin. Nope, didn’t help. The only way to access any older posts is via the Archive menu on my sidebar.

As I have also successfully downloaded and installed other plugins for various functions, I am 87% certain that this isn’t due to me being a simple dolt and doing something stupid like not activating a plugin. There’s always that chance of diztiness though!

Can anyone offer any advice to this? My blog is located at https://www.hopedarbywritings.com/blog. I’m running the most current version of WordPress, too.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.

    Best,
    Hope

  • Hope – on your Settings | Reading page – what is set for the “Blog pages show at most” question?

I think it defaults to 10 – until you get more posts than that, you won’t get previous/next links. Your August archive has 10, and it did not trigger prev/next links.

So, once a month ends, it won’t have page numbers that carry from one month to the next?
