No output to social media

    So far I have…
    1) installed the WPSSO plugin,
    2) allowed it to add the one line of code it needed to work to my <head.
    3) configured all my social media Urls
    4) configured my social media URLs for my Author too
    5) created a post
    6) both saved a draft and published a post
    7) checked the validation tools which all passed correctly (except one author versus property error on FB which I am not concerned about. ignore it. I don’t care so much about the author.)
    8) no output to any of my social media sites
    9) read and re-read setup doc and notes. Can’t find anything related to what i might have done wrong.

    Am I missing the step that actually releases the post to the social media sites? I thought publish would do that.

    Social media columns in Posts page look good. I have no evidence that anything is wrong, but it just doesn’t work.

    I would like to upgrade to Pro so I can custom edit my post text for each social outlet to be appropriate format and length, but I don’t dare if I can’t make free version work.

    Found an alternate question that answers this. This plugin is for formatting only and does not in and of itself auto-post.

    I do like the flexibility to manually update each description per social platform so I will probably try Jetpack again and see if I can make them work together to get the results I want.
