It makes sense not to include the Apple Pay option within the checkout page since the customer has already chosen not to use the Apple Pay option on the cart page, however, not the customer is missing out on the “Order notes” field (which is located on the checkout page by default).

Is there any way to implement the Order notes field back into this process when a customer chooses to use the Apple Pay option by Stripe?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

It makes sense not to include the Apple Pay option within the checkout page since the customer has already chosen not to use the Apple Pay option on the cart page, however, not the customer is missing out on the “Order notes” field (which is located on the checkout page by default).

I tested this on a default install with just WC, Stripe and Storefront theme active, and I couldn’t replicate this:

Would you mind copying and pasting your System Status Report into this thread so that I can check for any red flags there? You can find this by going to WooCommerce > Status > System Status > Get System Report in your WP-Admin dashboard.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your reply!

I don’t think there is anything wrong with my install. I see the Customer notes field, within the Checkout page, just as you do in your screenshot.

My point is, if the customer has the option to use Apple pay (within a product page or cart page), the customer will never go to the checkout page to fill in their customer note. So with this, the customer is never given the opportunity to fill out that notes field, which is currently only on the checkout page.

    Hopefully that makes more sense?

I’m trying to find out if we can display the notes field either on the cart page or within the Apple Pay options when a customer is checking out that way?

    Thanks again.

    Howdy,

    Thanks for your reply.

That makes complete sense- thanks for explaining ?? Adding Order Notes to the iframe in this situation would require further customizations. For changes like these, we’d recommend reaching out to the following experts: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

Another alternative might be to utilize something like Product Add-Ons: https://woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/. This would allow you to add a text field on each product page for any additional notes that needed to be sent with the order, but it would be on a per-product basis.

    Hope this helps!
