• I have two websites and have custom content installed on one of them and it works perfectly. I’ve just installed it onto the second site but there was no option to download the ip2nations database after I installed it so as you can imagine, it doesn’t work. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the plugin but still no option to download the database. I’ve had a look through the forum and seen a few suggestions but unfortunately because of where my website is hosted, I don’t have access to phpMyAdmin. Is there anything else I can do to fix it and get it working. Custom content is perfect for what I need to do so I don’t really want to change to a different plugin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It’s possible that somehow the wordpress option key has been set incorrectly, so you could try to delete it.

the WordPress option key you want to delete is: “ip2nation_version”

There are several plugins you can use to do this, e.g. WP Developer Assistant. I use this, but it hasn’t been updated in a couple of years. I’ve built a Git repo to fix these changes that I’ll commit to WP Repo soon. You can get it here:
    https://github.com/FernleafSystems/WpDeveloperAssist/tree/develop

Install that, use the options editor in that plugin and delete the key above.

    Hi Paul

Many thanks for your response. The second site is actually my husbands and now he thinks he may have clicked the “dismiss this message” button when the option came up to install the database. Does this change anything or should I still proceed with your suggestion above?

    Thanks in advance.

Yep, I figured something like this was probably the case ??

But yea, you need to delete that option.

And actually, you don’t need that plugin. I’ve just realised that for simple options like this one, you have direct access to change it within WordPress. Just go to: ../wp-admin/options.php and find the key, clear it, and save.
