    Hello!
Since Jetpack 3.4 (or the version which you change the interface), I cannot en- or disable any setting. If I switch an option on or off and go to another page and then go back to Jetpack the option is switched back to the previous selected option.

Also I got this error message sometimes:

Gekachelte Galerien failed to activate. SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token ‘<‘

This happens for example when I want to enable the tiled gallery.
I use WordPress 4.6.1 with nginx and MariaDB 10. If you need more informations or logs please let me now how provide them to you.

I hope you can help me, because it’s working before your switched the interface of Jetpack and since them I got these problems.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you let me know what other plugins are currently active on your site?

Could you also try the following:

    1. Open the dashboard page.
    2. Open your browser console
    3. Click on the Network tab
    4. Refresh the page.
    5. Try to activate a module
    6. If you see any lines in red inside the browser console, click on them. A new panel should appear on the right.
    7. Click on the “Response” tab in that new panel.
    8. Copy the message displayed there.
    9. Paste it here.
    10. If no red lines appeared in the browser console, click on the “Console” tab of the browser console.
    11. Copy any errors displayed there, and paste them here.

    Thanks!

Could you try to deactivate the Cachify plugin, and see if it helps?

Nop, but I got another error message and more console log output now:

Gekachelte Galerien failed to activate. SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

Could you try to switch to a different theme for a few minutes? If that doesn’t help, it might be worth trying to deactivate any plugin that may change the way JavaScript resources are loaded on your site.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello again,

I tried to disable every plugin and switched the theme – also with no change to jetpack.
But the funny part now is: I also tried it on a 1:1 copy on another url and boom, it works with the theme and all plugins without any problems. A bit strange…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Does the other site use HTTPS as well? I don’t notice anything wrong with your SSL setup, but I wonder if that could be what’s causing the issue. Could you also let me know how you configured HTTPS on that site? Do you use a plugin or a service like CLoudFlare to handle HTTPS redirections for you?

    Thread Starter timscha

    (@timscha)

Yes, both sites use HTTPS also – with Lets Encrypt.
Both sites are configured with Plesk (latest version). I use on both sites an 301 redirect from non-ssl to ssl.
