No one has been able to solve page speed issues

    Even with Jetpack Boost, and all 3 features enabled, my mobile speed is a 8 out of 100. The mobile speed is the same whether or not I disable all of my plugins. I have a reputable WordPress host, and a stock theme from Studiopress.

    I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to solve the page speed issue. I’m just venting, but it’s frustrating. Whoever solves this page speed issue, for users like me, will make a lot of money.

    Hey @jz9520!

    Your site is actually a good example of a site we want to help fix. Boost isn’t perfect – but discovering issues like this one is going to help us eventually get there :).

    In your situation – hosting and themes certainly play their part. But I’ve found that the biggest part of performance usually is determined by the content and plugins.

    For example, in your situation – I’d look at the image sizes, youtube embeds, and the amount of scripts (tracking, ads, etc.)

    With all that said – you should be seeing quite a bit of improvement. Looking at your page – I see that Boost is installed, but I don’t see the optimizations that it performs. It looks like your cache (either Cloudflare or Plugin) is still serving the “old unoptimized” version. Try purging/clearing the cache – that should help you get the new score to show up.

    I purged my cache on cloudflare and my website host, and my mobile score is still a 6 out 100 even with all 3 Jetpack Boost optimizations turned on. Please help.

    I see your score on Google has gone from 17 to 20, which obviously still isn’t great.

    We think this is likely due to your video embeds at least to some degree.

    For further optimization suggestions, I’d recommend looking deeper into the advice offered by Google Pagespeed Insights. Meanwhile, we will work on improving Jetpack Boost in future, to provide even more optimizations around video embeds.
