no og:description for cpt with auto-generated excerpt

  • I’m using %%excerpt%% to autogenerate the cpt meta description via the Titles & Meta screen. It’s works great. However the default corresponding og:description is not generating for the cpt. For regular pages it’s generating fine, however.

    adding excerpt support to the cpt definition makes no difference.

    ps. I have to say, this plugin rocks. I’m installing it on all my sites and stripping out all the conditional header soup I’ve laboured over in the past… many thanks.

    … actually it’s nothing to do with excerpt per se. It’s simply that meta description templates aren’t being carried over to og: description for custom post types.
