No of pages suddenly not working

Can you show me a specific page that isn’t updating and what isn’t updating about it?

Are you getting any errors? Have you installed any new plugins recently? Any caching plugins?

Hey this is one of those books which i have problem. This one is the new one added some 10 hours ago – https://www.homoeocentral.com/book/the-treatment-of-cattle-by-homoeopathy/

But the old one’s which was added before were all displaying no of pages perfectly like this one – https://www.homoeocentral.com/book/the-principles-practice-of-homoeopathy/

And also in the dashboard where all the books are listed the book length is not displaying

I am not getting any errors and i haven’t installed any plugins recently.

Number of Pages was moved to Editions, so it would only show up there. It looks like you have written some custom code because Author and Sub-genre are not part of Mooberry Book Manager. So I’m guessing the number of pages is showing up on the older books because you have added custom code to display it. It’s not showing up on the newer books because it’s stored differently in the latest version because of the addition of the Editions. This is because different Editions of a book (hardcover, paperback, ebook, etc.) could have a different number of pages.

hey i haven’t updated the mooberry book manager since i have added custom code to display author and sub-genre i am using the 2.1 version. yes i add custom code for no of pages to display on the info box but if you see the book length should also be displayed in the book list which was displaying before for the old books please refer to the image https://imgur.com/Yq4HPNx As you can see in the image the book length is been displayed on the old ones but not on the new ones. I need to know why it is not displaying on the book list itself. The no of pages is not updating when i publish or updating a book.

The Editions were added in version 2.0. Number of Pages was moved from one place in the database to another place because now Number of Pages is tied to the Editions of a book. You’re seeing data from books entered before you updated because I didn’t remove the existing data from the database.

Number of Pages is showing up for the books that you entered before you upgraded to 2.0+. I forgot to take it out of the list in the update. I should have, because there is no longer a 1:1 relationship between book and number of pages.

When you add/edit books in version 2.1 there is no longer a single Number of Pages input box. It’s now moved into the Editions. So I’m not sure how you are entering Number of Pages for books entered since you updated unless you are putting them in the Editions. And if you putting them in Editions, it will show up on the book page under Editions.

In summary, the place where Number of Pages is stored in the database was moved in v2.0 and your custom code is referencing the old location.
