• Hi there,

    So I’m new to your plugin & we just realized the notifications aren’t going out either for notices or e-mails when someone posts in a group or even on their profile page.

    Can you fix that?

    Can you also tweak the plugin so that it only sends post notifications for people who are in the group?

    There’s no other version of the plugin you’re currently using and I don’t think you need any paid extensions. Definitely not to make it work.

    Ok, I’d like to know how it’s set up. Could you go to Notification -> Settings -> Import / Export and export all the notifications that are affected and are not sending?

    Then, please edit this JSON file and remove any sensitive data like email addresses (replace with xxxxxxx), and upload its contents to a service like pastebin.com.

    This way I’ll be able to check if this is a misconfiguration and if it’s not – I’ll be able to replicate it.

    Hi, there’s another update released today ??

    Also, in the meantime, we’ve checked your notifications and all of them are working correctly on a vanilla WordPress installation. See this screenshot of debug log entries: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sqlxehvs68w2omj/sidekick_kQLtSnKKsN.png?dl=0

    That means the issue may be in the other BuddyPress extensions you’re using.

    So I’m still not getting notifications & I e-mailed Youzify which is the plugin I have on there & they still haven’t responded back to me.

    I see you did another update, did you find another bug (I hope?) LOL

    The last one was only a maintenance update, nothing major changed so I don’t think it’ll impact your problem, sorry

    Hi there,

    So….

    My issue with you will be this.

    And the only reason we figured this out, was b/c a new user signed up & wasn’t getting the verification email so Chris looked into it again & this time THIS page showed up (it’s all about what nazi goolag shows us sigh)

    Anyway, he found this & the code WORKED!!!! https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-smtp-settings/

    Then he started looking into the logs for your plugin & all of a sudden he realized that there’s a checkbox that was checked that says if we have logging turned on, it turns OFF notifications.

    I get that you thought he would see that, but he didn’t & you never once asked if he had turned that off. ??

    The 2 things (the SMTP plugin caused issues with BP) would have fixed things all this time. So hopefully next time you can also ask people if they have an SMTP plugin.

    Please ask people this because a lot of people won’t even know that exists or that SMTP is even an issue. Chris can’t figure out why.
