no notification when publishing via XMLRPC?

    Has anyone else had difficulty getting “Post Published” notifications when you create a new post via XML-RPC?

    When I create a new post from MarsEdit, I don’t get a “Post Published” notification. My workaround has been to switch to “Post Updated”, but I really don’t want notifications going out on each update.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks for your message.

    Yes, that’s correct. This has been raised on the forums before but basically, it’s because using XML-RPC doesn’t insert the post into WordPress in the same way as a regular post. The same thing occurs when using the WordPress mobile app too. As far as I know though, adding a post via the REST API does work correctly.
