Were you able to fix the issue?

The plugin will use a backup feed in the event the access token expires. You should see a notice on the “Configure” tab if this is the case as well as a notice that appears to logged-in admins in your feed on your website.

Apologies for any confusion related to our previous message as we thought your question was in regards to the Instagram plugin. We show the latest post on Facebook is an event post. Facebook only allows you to display events outside of Facebook if you are the host or co-host of the event, which it does not appear your page is listed as either. However, for future reference, if you want to display events through the plugin you need to generate a Page Access Token through your own Facebook App to display any events from your page in which you are the host or co-host.
