I have a Forminator form in a website where the person fills out the form (including name), and in the form there is an html field that includes a link to take them to a quiz (opens a new tab or window), they fill that out, submit, then close the tab or window and go back to the form to hit the submit button.

Problem is, quizzes have no name field or any way to pass information from an unsubmitted form to the quiz, so there is a way to match the quiz with the person filling in the form.

I need a way to do this. It’s either that or nix the quiz and just write it into the regular form which is more kludgy and makes the form much longer.

    Hello @iskyesilverweb

    I hope you’re well todoay!

I did some tests on my test site and it would be possible to include a field value (for example name field) in an URL that you’re using in HTML field. This would let you direct users to a quiz page with a parameter added to its address, containing username or any other data – so that could be a foundation of such relationship.

However, this would also require quite a bit of custom coding to register such query string in WordPress and then to actually make Forminator read it and use in its quiz module. That’s not something supported by Forminator and I admit that for now the best solution would be to “merge” form and quiz and build it as a single form.

That said, it sounds like a great idea of a new feature to me so I’ve already suggested it to our developers for further consideration.

    Best regards,
    Adam

I look forward to seeing the possibility to link quizzes and polls so that we can match the submissions of those items to forms (or vice versa?) – it would solve big headaches for me and the group that I am using Forminator for.

    Thanks for your quick reply!
