no more spam but no more signups

I was happy to stop the fake signups but now I get nothing. Tried signing up myself and it worked. I Ddd a spam cleanup on my users but it did not delete all my users. So I’m wondering if here are no new signups, good portion of my users are legit, so should I turn off the firewall?
