No more gallery!

Maybe I was mistaken about the WP version. It says I am using the latest version, “However, if you want to re-install version 3.5.2, you can…”

No response yet, but I did some testing:

NexGen Gallery Optimizer causes images to load solo (replaces the website) in the current browser window with NexGen 2.0.

I deactivated it and the gallery started working again, without the fancy lightbox properties.

terrykiwi – thanks for the note about the plugin conflict.

I wouldn’t mind confirming if that conflict is specific to a particular lightbox. If you do enable Optimizer again, can you change the lightbox effect in NextGEN by going to Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects?

Mixed results,and inconsistent too!

I activated optimzer again, and tried the different lightbox effects:

– Highslide worked at first, then after trying others, it became inconsistent, even using the same browser (Chrome) on different computers!

– Shutter2 showed the lightbox, but with no controls

– Thickbox was OK in FF browser. On one computer in Chrome it displayed two pix, one above the other, and would not scroll down to view the bottom one, and “next” went to #3 pic. (Is that what the “2” means in its name?)

– The others didn’t work at all

So I decided to deactivate optimizer again, and lo & behold, I am now getting the desired lightbox effect, with fancy controls in both browsers! This is with it set to “Lightbox”.

Not sure what I did, to fix it, and not sure it will stay this way. If it changes I will let you know.
