• Since i have recently had some correspondence with Go Web Solutions i have since found out that they no longer offer free support due to the impending arrival of version 3. This is totally understandable but surely they should tell people rather than we spend time typing out our issues on here to not even get a response. I have been offered “paid support” help but since i replied asking “how much” i have yet to get a response. Has anyone found an alternative plugin that does the same job, with a higher level of service

  • Hi Andy. I’ll take a moment to address this for all to see, set the record straight, and to give an update on Version 3.

    We have never offered free support. It’s a free plugin, one we thought we were doing everyone a favor by sharing. We actually never planned on a paid version, and have released updates and and answered questions in the forum for fun. Once in a while we get a donation from someone that really, really needs something fixed and is willing to pay for it. I promise we aren’t holding support back, we simply haven’t had time.

    That said, since the plugin is so popular and demand is high, we started on a re-write of both a free and paid version. Should you choose to use either in the future, that would be awesome. If not, we totally understand. If you really, really need it to work now and can’t wait for version 3 (much cooler version) and the support that will come with the pro version (we work much better when properly motivated :), feel free to submit a support ticket on our website at https://www.gowebsolutions.com. We charge $89 an hour, we bill in 15 min increments and will tell you how much up front, can usually fix things pretty easily, and are able to do most requests within a few business days. I will make sure of it.
