No metrics shwoing in WP Dashboards

  • Hi,

    I’ve setup my own hosted Matomo and using the plugin to connect to my instance.

    When chosing auto-configure I’m getting N/A at the site that should be discovered. I do set the tracking manually and at my Matomo install I see traffic etc.
    However the dashboards in WP are all empty and no information is showing at all.

    How can I troubleshoot or what may be the issue?

    To be able to auto-configure and to get the metrics, the plugin has to be able to connect to Matomo and to determine the correct site.

    If auto detection does not work, you can check if the domain is configured in Matomo (because the domain is used to identify the site), or switch to manual selection.

    As said in my Matomo installation the site is present. The plugin just shows N/A for the site. I added manually the tracking code and see the site ID number.

    Yes, but is the domain configured in Matomo’s settings? The plugin sends the blog’s domain to Matomo to get its site ID. If Matomo does not recognise the domain, N/A will be shown.

    If everything seems to be configured well, you can configure the used site manually within the plugin to get the metrics. Adding the tracking code manually enables the tracking, of course, but is not sufficient for the plugin to get access to the metrics, because a connection to Matomo and the correct site ID are necessary.

    Just disable the auto-configuration checkbox in the plugin’s settings, just below the connection settings.

    Okay, many thanks, I did this however, I changed some other settings but still all dashboards and the WP-Matamo (WP-PIWIK) Page keeps empty ??
