I am trying to embed <script> commands into WP pages (5.0.4). I have tried your Code Embed but I can’t see the meta box in Custom Fields.

I have tried all the suggestions in the Documentation without success. The Custom Fields checkbox does not appear in Screen Options either.

I am using Advanced Custom Fields Pro plugin which also uses the Custom Fields menu. Does this conflict with Code Embed?

Thanks for any suggestions. I am new to WP.

Are you using the new Gutenberg block editor as well?

I don’t think so. I am using the Classic Editor plugin (1.3) which hides all functionality available in the new Block Editor (“Gutenberg”).

In that case, I suspect the ACF plugin is suppressing this (it is, after all, adding custom fields for you – albeit its own). My plugin only supports the in-build WordPress custom fields box.

I’ll make sure I add to my list of “things to do” an investigation into whether I can add this in future.

In fact, looks like this requested some time ago – https://github.com/dartiss/code-embed/issues/23

    Thanks David,
I did search the forum but it did not find this previous post. I have just tried creating a Custom Field called CODE1 with ACF and can confirm this does not seem to work.

It would be great if you were able to get them to co-exist. As I said, I’m a WP novice but my existing HTML site uses <script> commands like they are going out of fashion!
    All the best
    Nick
