No matter if new order is on hold or processing customer gets always same e-mail

Woocommerce Version: 3.5.7
No matter if new order is on hold or processing, customer gets always the “customer-processing-order.php” e-mail. Even when I set a new template in the childtheme folder under /woocommerce/emails. The “customer-on-hold-order.php” template is getting ignored and instead it uses always the “customer-processing-order.php” template. Why is that so? How can that be?
For example:
-Customer chooses payment with COD and orders -> order is getting set by default to “processing” customer gets processing e-mail, which is good.
-Customer chooses payment with BACS and orders -> order is getting set by default “on-hold” but customer gets processing e-mail instead of on-hold e-mail, which is bad.I hope you can help me.
