AmazeMedia, just so you know, This did work but it sets the plugin to “need an update”. As soon as you update, it reverts to same problem. So I’m going to leave the plugin not updated until some time when perhaps Nathan fixes this issue with Genesis Simple Sidebars

I did in fact. It’s premium ($13) but it’s stable and the developer is responsive, friendly and helpful. So impressed, I bought his Starter-Pro theme. No I’m not an affiliate just a very satisfied customer.

I’ve done the same as you and updated > broke and refixed. It’s strange because it the plugin works on quite a few of my sites but not on others.

Thanks for that information. The one site that has been affected so far is a very old, non-responsive theme. The website owners, for whatever reasons, are dragging their feet to upgrade their website. I haven’t had the same problem with other websites that use genesis simple sidebars, so I’m attributing the problem to the OLD child theme.
