    I’m on WordPress 5.5.1 and I installed and activated the plugin, followed the instructions to change the email address, clicked submit, and the refreshed page showed the original value.

    Hi rhoded! Thanks for your feedback. It does work on 5.5.1 [confirmed]. There is no “submit” button, so I’m not sure what you’re doing… maybe another plugin? The buttons available are “Test Email” and “Save Changes”. If you click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen, it should save. You MUST press the save button to effect a change.
