    Hello, thanks so much for a great plugin!

    Bit.ly links have not been generating since the last update. I’ve unauthorized and reauthorized the token, uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, and activated debug mode. The plugin previously worked perfectly and I’ve made no other major changes to my site. I do not have branded links.

    (It looks like you have several threads open about this issue, but they don’t appear to be resolved; hoping to be notified once things are sorted out. Thanks very much!)

  • As I mentioned on other post, mine also stopped working after the latest update. Here are the answers you might need.

    1) What method are you using to retrieve the shortlink? Admin bar, “Get Shortlink” next to the permalink, etc.

    * I am using the “Get Shortlink” default link on Admin Bar

    2) Have you logged in to Bitly to verify if the shortlinks are being created and just not properly returned by the plugin?

    * Links are NOT being created in Bit.ly

    I’m using “Get Shortlink” next to permalink. I’ve logged into Bit.ly and links are not being created.

    I finally got mine to work. Had to go to Bit.ly website and revoke permission (there were 2 WP Bitly there for some reason) then I let it know that I was using https:// instead of https:// – That seemed to fixed my issue

    Thanks for the detailed information folks, I appreciate it and it helps to track down the issue.

    A new version has just been released which makes a mild alteration to the authorization process in hopes of fixing the issue.

    If everyone could turn on Let’s Debug, save, then try disconnecting and reconnecting (if your shortlinks are not generating, so not you @moviefloss!).
