    That is indeed expected. With the rebuilt version 3.0.0, it is no longer possible to include HTML in the value you input for a custom field. If you try to use HTML, it will be escaped. This was done to add extra security/protection when using the custom fields.

    It may be possible to implement a new type of custom field that is specifically for links. I’ll note that down as a feature request, so we can look into the possibility of implementing something like that in the future.
