Hello, I’ve been using this plugin for quite awhile and I LOVE IT! Only thing is, we just recently switched web hosting companies and now I’m not receiving email notifications when my plugins are successfully updated. I hadn’t changed any of those settings so not sure why this isn’t working anymore. I looked through the logs and my plugins are updating, I’m just not receiving email notifications. Can you help?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

By default, EUM will send update notification emails to the admin email address of your site, which can be found on the General Settings page (Settings->General)

The email address should be a valid one, which simply means that it really exists. If you find out that you don’t receive any notification emails after an update then you can ask your hosting provider to look for the mail server logs and see what error had occurred during the delivery of a an email of your previous update. Also, if you want to try other email addresses rather than the one from the General Settings then you can add multiple email addresses under the EUM’s notification emails section (as shown below)

enter as many addresses as you like to see whether an update notifications is successfully sent to one of those email addresses, but if none of them receives an update notification, then surely something’s wrong with your mail server and you will need to contact your hosting company.

    Thanks,
    Anthon

Thank you for the quick response, I’ll try to add additional emails and see if that works.

I added emails to EUM Notification Emails section hoping to override admin email address, but it’s not working. Is this because I had already added some notification emails previously? The emails are coming to the email address I had originally entered in that “Enter comma separated addresses field” but when I added new ones, it didn’t work.

    Hi @mike7352,

Would it work if you reset all options you have in EUM, to do that you can go to the Advanced tab (as shown below)

and after resetting them please try to add new email addresses to the Emails section again, also you will need to manually set your Updates settings to your previous preferred settings.

    Thanks
    Anthon
