no login page but install and config OK as per readme

Just wanted to add a few details. I also checked out some forums concerning no-login page, which have said, use the url https://sitename/wp-login.php but when I do this, all I get is my host’s error page.

Any advice, other than a new host? ??

try https://my site name.890.com/blog/wp-admin

I just tried that and I go to the same host error page ‘page not found’. Would this make a difference: my site name has to include .890m.com (the additon from my host provider.
site name is straitgatedm.890m.com

what is the address to the wordpress site? thats not a wordpress site.

The address that my host hast told me to use is: https://straitgatedm.890m.com/cleft (cleft is the file name I used to install WP)

When I type in that url, all I get is a WP page, but no log in.

I type the url adding wp-login.php and redirect to host error page. Same when I use wp-admin.php

i get a login page here
https://straitgatedm.890m.com/cleft/wp-login.php

and there is a login link on that main wordpress page. look in the sidebar, meta section.
