No live webhooks received after monitoring
-
Hi I activated Stripe but it says “No live webhooks received after monitoring”, what should I do exactly?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @userweb,
Thank you for reaching out.
I’m sorry to hear you’re facing errors with the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway.
Just curious, have you already tried making test order to see if the orders are going through regardless of the error message?
As a first step to troubleshoot this issue further, I’d recommend refreshing or adding new webhooks. Please try the steps below:
- Remove the current Webhook Secret, and add it again, following?these steps in our guide for setting up Webhooks.
- Enable?Test Mode?temporarily, and then do a test order and pay for it with a?Stripe Test Card.
Please try this and let us know how this goes.
Cheers.
Hi, in the live section the status is on connected and configured, in the test tab it is not.
Moving on to the section below, the situation is as follows:
Payment
EnabledPayout
EnabledWebhook
EnabledNo live webhooks have been received since monitoring began at 2024-11-15 14:25:09 UTC
Hi @userweb,
I’m sorry to hear about the connection issue you’re experiencing with Test Mode. Just to double-check, have you already connected your Test Account with Stripe?
If not, you can follow this helpful guide to set up Test Mode with the Stripe WooCommerce Extension: Testing the Stripe WooCommerce Extension with Test Mode.If your account is connected, could you please try reconfiguring it in the Test tab? Just click on Reconfigure Webhooks and see if that helps resolve the issue. It would also be really helpful if you could share a screenshot of the Test tab so we can get a better idea of the situation.
Additionally, if you’re seeing any specific errors during this process, please let us know. We’ll be happy to dig into it further!
Hi, thanks, I activated the test mode, but in live mode I still see that the webhooks are not received
Hi @userweb ,
Thanks for sharing the screenshot—it gives us a clearer idea of your current situation!
It looks like your Test Mode settings are showing that no test webhooks have been received since this morning. Just to confirm—have you tried testing a transaction yet? A webhook will automatically trigger when you create a test transaction or order on your website. If you haven’t done that, you can manually send a test event to check if the webhook is working:
- Go to your Stripe Dashboard.
- Navigate to Developers > Webhooks.
- Select your webhook endpoint.
- Click Send Test Event to trigger it manually, and make sure that Test Mode is activated.
Please give this a try and let us know how it goes!
Hi, I tried, clicking on the endpoint, the message “waiting for events” appears and it seems to get stuck in this state, returning to the site, I don’t see any changes, the “send test event” button is not there, what can I do now?
Hi @userweb ,
Just to confirm again, have you tried placing a test order with Test Mode enabled? As mentioned earlier, creating a test transaction or order on your website should automatically trigger the webhook.
I recommend trying a test order to recheck the issue. If the webhook is triggered successfully, it indicates that everything is functioning correctly. If not, it’s possible there might be an issue elsewhere, though your account does appear to be configured correctly.
Let me know how it goes.
Hi, I tried now, here is the result:
Payment
EnabledPayout
EnabledWebhook
EnabledThe most recent test webhook, timestamped 2024-11-19 19:56:07 UTC, was processed successfully.
It seems to work, now what do I do? Disable Test mode and set to live mode? Thanks.
Hello userweb,
Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.
The most recent test webhook, timestamped 2024-11-19 19:56:07 UTC, was processed successfully.
Yes, this means the webhooks are correctly set up and there is a communication between WooCommerce and Stripe. Next, I suggest enabling the Live mode and monitoring the webhooks again during live mode.
Let me know how it goes.
I am here for your help. ??Best regards.
After placing the order in “Test” mode and verifying the operation, I disabled the Test mode and put it in “Live” mode, 24 hours have passed but the webhooks are not received:
Payment
EnabledPayout
EnabledWebhook
EnabledNo live webhooks have been received since monitoring began at 2024-11-20 16:05:16 UTC.
Hi @userweb ,
It seems there might be some confusion regarding how webhooks function in Test and Live Modes. As I mentioned earlier, the webhook is automatically triggered whenever an order is placed on your site.
- If an order is made in Test Mode, you will see the webhook recorded in the Test Mode section.
- If an order is made in Live Mode, the webhook will appear in the Live Mode section.
This confirms that there is no issue, webhooks are designed to trigger automatically based on the mode of the order.
I hope this clears up any confusion about how webhooks operate. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out.
Hi, ok thanks, now it’s clear, I thought that webhooks were a communication that had to be received continuously instead it is present only when there is an order actually received, now it’s clear.
Is it not necessary to do anything more then?
Thanks for the help.Hello @userweb,
now it’s clear, I thought that webhooks were a communication that had to be received continuously instead it is present only when there is an order actually received, now it’s clear.
You’re absolutely correct. Webhooks in WooCommerce are designed to trigger and send data when a specific event occurs on your site, such as receiving an order. They’re not continuous, but event-driven, so you don’t need to do anything more at the movement
If you have any more concerns or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
All clear, thank you very much for your help, everything is ok for now!
