The plugin is excellent, but I am having an issue with archives. I’m building a site for a client (bilingual content throughout) using multisite.

In tracking down why the_bilingual_link(); wasn’t displaying on a particular page, I noted that it isn’t displaying on any “archive-posttype” page, despite using the same header as other templates.

Do you know of a fix?

Also of note: in reading through the support forums, I saw mention of the ability to simply add the link to a menu through the menu customizer. I thought I’d use that as a work-around, but in the menu customizer, the Bilingual Linker menu item only has a checkbox and “add to menu” as opposed to the usual drag-drop block present with normal menu items. Attempting to add it in this way fails.

I’m using the latest (2.1.2) version of the plugin.

Sorry for lack of response. I was travelling in Asia last week.

I think I have found a solution to the problem but would like you to test it out. I zipped up the main file from the plugin and posted it on my site:

    ylefebvre.ca/files/bilingual-linker.zip

Can you download, extract, and replace that file in the plugin folder on your site, then let me know if it works correctly on your installation?

    Sorry for *my* delay.

The updated plugin seems not to have had any effect on either count. Thanks for looking into it.

Hopefully late is going to be better than never. I just pushed out version 2.2 of Bilingual Linker with proper support for post type archive pages. I have tested it on my local server and everything seems to work correctly. Please update and confirm if that is the case.

Please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

Amazing. Thank you for the excellent support. It works perfectly.

Donation happily made. Please let me know if there’s any additional way I can contribute to the plugin’s development (help writing documentation, ui assistance, etc). It really fills an important need— especially here in bilingual Canada. ??

    Merci.

    Thank you for your support.

I have started putting together a wiki for all of my plugins but have not started work on Bilingual Linker yet. If you feel like signing up and starting to jot down some information, you are welcome to do so.
