No Line Breaks

    i don’t have newlines for pre/code. I’ve read all the threads on here and tried the fixes but nothing works.

    Hi @colognehosting

    i cannot see any code formatting issues on the provided link – BUT your html sourcecode looks like that some optimization plugin removes all kind of leading whitespaces and applies “weak” “optimizations” to the html – that might be your issue.

    hm, it is right, that there are cache plugins working (i deactivated HTML optimization) – but i have line breaks with “quote” Tag and i have no with pre or code Tag:

    I can not believe, that yo don’t see that. I have this issue on every Browser i have …

    the issue is your “caching” plugin – the behaviour of EnlighterJS is correct – the sourcecode doesn’t include any linebreaks, therefore they cannot be displayed.

    All cache-Plugins are fully deactivated, still no line breaks ??

    take a look into the html sources for “EnlighterJSRAW” – these are the wrapper elements containing the sourcecode. the whole “content” of your page is wrapped into a single line without linebreaks.

    normally this is an effect of caching plugins / theme settings / page builders.

    did you tried Enlighter with a “clean” WordPress setup with the standard themes ?

    btw. i’ve seen such issues very often…therefore i’m pretty sure its not a general Enlighter issue
