• Hi all!

I have a few questions regarding the Pro version and pages made with it.

If I decide to sell/use a template built with Pro on a client site, would I have to keep paying the annual fee to keep it functioning?

Let’s say I build some page templates using Elementor Pro, and I import them to my clients wordpress, but at some point my licence expires. Let’s say in one month.
Will that client site pages continue to work as built with Pro beforehand? Or what happens exactly?

    Thanks!

  • You need to keep the Pro version activated if you want the pages to work, because they have elements that are only available in that version. I don’t think you need to keep a license, as that only provides for updates to newer versions. However, without a license you’ll of course also miss out on possible security updates.

Having said all the above, I wonder if anyone would even want to keep a license, seeing the complete utter mess Elementor made of the last ‘upgrade’…

Thank you so much for your reply.
I am not sure I understand. The PRO version is not free so basically this plugin is useless to use for a business because I can NEVER be sure I’ll keep paying this PRO version for life, meanwhile my clients are sure they WILL keep their websites for life and want them functioning.

I don’t think my work should be conditioned by paying a program/plugin.
I understand I have to pay to work with all the functions (THAT is why I pay) but the material I create with it should not be conditioned like this.

If I pay for a video edit software and create some videos and sell/upload them, after I stop paying the program and dezinstall it it’s not like the videos I created disappear or stop working… I don’t understand why this can’t be the same.

    Are there other alternatives?

    Hi,

Since you are using our Pro features on your website, you’ll need to open a support ticket at my.elementor.com.

www.remarpro.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.

@muntomani You indeed seem not to understand how it works. What you created with Elementor Pro will keep functioning even after a license has expired as long as you keep the Pro version installed and activated.

UNLESS, a Pro feature gets into a conflict with e.g. a WordPress update.

By the way, you cannot compare a video editing software (which normally is OFFline) to software in use on a live website (in other words: ONline). If you do not understand that difference, I suggest you first do some more learning.
