    Hi,

I’m using Activity Log on several sites. There’s always been a lot of information in the Log.

Now every site is showing “no items found”

Could this be a problem with WordPress 4.8.2?

    Thanks in advance.

Same experience. I looked in the database, and saw that post-upgrade, new records are still being added. So it appears to be a retrieval/display issue with the new version of WP.

    Hi,

    I agree with tlhackque.

I’ve checked the database and records are being added, so a retrieval/display issue.

    The same for me

I am experiencing the same thing. My guess is that the first of the security updates listed under “Summary” here has caused this.

Opened a GitHub issue Github Issue pointing to this thread.

Hopefully a developer will look into this for us.

Same here. Data is being stored, but no output

I experience the exact same thing as you all describe. Log data is in the database, but nothing to see in wp-admin. I noticed it right after the WP 4.8.2 upgrade on several sites and suspected a hack, but now I’m a bit more relaxed.

It appears the issue is related to 4.8.2 hardening $wpdb->prepare().

$wpdb->prepare() can create unexpected and unsafe queries leading to potential SQL injection (SQLi). WordPress core is not directly vulnerable to this issue, but we’ve added hardening to prevent plugins and themes from accidentally causing a vulnerability.

WordPress 4.8.2 Security and Maintenance Release

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I know I should upgrade, but wanted to mention on my v4.7.6 site, I am having the same issue !!

4.7.6 was also released yesterday and contains the same hardening to $wpdb->prepare() so that’s still the most likely culprit.

Same here, on 4.8.2 – should be an easy SQL fix, hope they post it today.
