    Hello!
Thank you very much for this plugin!

I’ve some trouble with a feed.

It is generated but without the quantity in stock (there’s no tag in the feed at all). So the result is that on Catalog Manager the inventory field of the product is set to 0 and the product is listed as “out of stock”

    Can you help me please?
    Robi

    Hi,

could you please update your website URL (or better the URL to the XML feed) in the topic? So, I can check about the issue.

Anyway, in the feed there isn’t any property with the number of availability in a number format. There should be only the parameter <g:availability> with one of these values: in stock, out of stock, etc.

It depends from the availability status in the inventory settings of each product in WooCommerce.

    Hi thank you Antonino!

Ok so the feed is this https://www.maison33.it/content/uploads/product-catalogs/main-product-catalog.xml

The page shop page is this https://www.facebook.com/Maison33abbigliamento/shop/

The strange thing is that in catalog manager all is good. Products are loaded and set “In stock” but in the page, as you can see, they are all set “Out of stock”.

I’ve checked some Facebook guidelines and i’ve found this article from facebook.com (https://www.facebook.com/business/help/560696898000137?id=725943027795860) that states the products must have:
    – availability set to “In stock”
    – inventory set to > 0

As i’ve said in first post i’ve checked the details of the products in Catalog Manager and “inventory” is set to 0 (check screenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/0qbzo8uchxt1z23/Screenshot%202020-06-08%2010.27.19.png?dl=0)

The product in the site is this https://www.maison33.it/prodotto/abito-japan/ and it is available and in stock.

Is there something i’m not getting right?

    Thank you

I am having the same problem… It seems Facebook recently changed the commerce manager so its acts more like an actual stand alone ecommerce shopping experience… And therefore they actually require the inventory to sync… ??

This was a message I got back from them when I asked if we could switch it back to just showing in stock and out of stock – I think this is a permanent change:

The Products are displaying out of stock on the FB Page Shop because the inventory is not updated. After checking the your Catalog I can see the the product inventory levels are all at “0” and therefore will show out of stock. Please adjust your inventory levels accordingly.

    Ok thank you!

But i don’t understand why there are so few of us with this problem. I mean, if this is something that Facebook is changing globally, there must be other guys with the same issue and with the products on the Shop page all out of stock.

@antoscarface do you have any news about this?

    Thank you!

Yes – it is a new change just last month…

This post is from May 19th:
    https://about.fb.com/news/2020/05/introducing-facebook-shops/

Unfortunately it seems anyone creating a new ‘shop’ is kind of forced into this… Everyone else is still on their older platform.

I spent a couple hours with their tech support who gave up because he couldn’t figure out a way to change it and no one there knew. So I think this is just the way it will work now…

Hey, sorry for the delay on this topic.

@andrea2zscience is right: Facebook has changed the way how the Shop page on a Facebook Page works, to support the ability to purchase a product directly from Facebook (or from the tab, or from messenger, or for future applications e.g. WhatsApp).

Therefore, it seems they enforce Shop tabs to have an inventory. I don’t have a solution to that for the moment, but I’ll keep me informed on this in order to find the best solution. At the moment, the useful feature of Product feed from Pixel Caffeine is using it for dynamic ads, without using Shop page or at least keeping in mind that the XML must be adapted to be used for Shop Page or better create the Shop Page with a different XML or products set.
