No Install.php Page

    Hi everyone,

    I’m working on getting a new WordPress site set up as part of an internship. I have worked with WordPress before, but this is my first time setting it up and installing it.

    I’ve been following along with the installation tutorial: I got a database set up, transferred the unzipped WordPress files with FileZilla and… nothing. When I try to access the install.php page to finish the installation, I don’t get anything at all, just a blank page.

    Any help for a newbie? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Once you uploaded the wordpress you need go to /wp-admin/install.php after your domain name if in root or /folder/wp-admin/install.php if uploaded in folder

    Thanks for your reply; however, I knew that step already. My problem is that when I go to <mydomain>/wp-admin/install.php like you said, there is nothing on that page and I cannot finish the installation.

    did you upload in root or a folder

    It’s in the root.

    looks like there may be permission problem check your permissions folders need to be 755 files 644
