    I followed the 5-minute install process, then when it didn’t work checked it against the more extensive instructions. I uploaded the wordpress files to the server myself and changed the wp-config.php file .

    I then got the hosting provider to enable the .php

    I returned the value in the wp-config to ‘localhost’ as I saw your reply to someone else suggested this, but still didn’t work, so I checked with the provider and changed it back.

    ok – now I see you are running on an IIS windows server.
    your host will need to fix this

    any way you can switch to a linux server – you will be a lot happier in the long run

    Cheers samboll, I talked to hosting and they’re migratingh me to a linux server.

    Appreciate the help!
