We have several thank you pages on our site – we have always had them set to no index, but it was just brought to my attention that they’re still showing in SERPs.

FOR SURE, the page settings in Yoast are set correctly. Allow search engines to show this Page in search results? is set to “No”.

I’ve checked several pages that are supposed to be set to noindex, and none of the noindex tags are showing up in the source code.

What’s going on? Anyone else had this issue?

We do not recommend or support using outdated version of WordPress including plugins and themes for the reasons covered in this article. Please update Yoast SEO to a supported 12.6.x or higher version.

Hey @amboutwe – I updated to the newest version on the production version of the site, but the issue persists. Any page I set to noindex using the Yoast settings fails – the noindex tag doesn’t get implemented. I have hundreds of other sites with Yoast and haven’t run across this on those. Please help!

Note: The URL previously provided shows it is still running an older 11.0 version.

That being said, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur on the production site where you’ve update to 12.6 or higher. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
