    Hello @chiswickclassics

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The page seems to be deleted and not noindexed as it throws a 404 error and is not available in search results.

Though it might show in Google search results when searching the name of the website, it will accurately return a 404 and with time, Google will drop it from their index. However, it’s usually unknown how long that will take.

    Hi,

The page is live and set to no index.

It’s not actually a 404 error, I’m just giving that appearance so that users can navigate to the right page. It’s a workaround as users shouldn’t see that page at all but it’s getting lots of visitors due to indexing issue.

Thanks for the extra information as I see <meta name='robots' content='noindex, follow' /> now.

Since you mentioned that the page is live but set to noindex, that should be enough for Google to drop it from their index with time.
