Recently I have made many changes on my site. Today I received a warning from Google. This page ends wrong: https://www.magoster.nl/tag/golf/
There is no </body> anymore. The blog itself is correct:
    https://www.magoster.nl/2012/06/spa-parel-van-de-ardennen/
There are more tag-pages that ends wrong.

Recently I have activated Autoptimize but the author of this plugin says it is not his plugin. I think he is right because the same tag-page on another site ends well. Autoptimize there is also activated.

So I don’t think it is that plugin, neither is it the theme Twenty Seventeen. WordPress and all used plugins are up to date.

Is there anyone that does recognize such an issue and can give me a clue where to look for?

    Regards

    This has been solved!

In order to reduce loadtime I have made many changes (htaccess, header.php, functions.php, many php functions, many javascript functions, defered loading, etc.) and one of them caused this.

My former theme had a sidebar of which one widget hadn’t been removed. That one is not active and does not show. The widget was fed with a daily updated php-function.

Recently I decided to remove all obsolete php-functions. Testing all pages gave no problem. Now this removal appears, although not shown, the cause of a malfunction while showing the footer of a blog. The blog breaks overthere, no footer is shown.

Removing the widget has fixed the problem. A very invisible nasty problem!

Lesson learned: when a page is not finished on screen check all of the php-functions. Even when thought not to be used for over a half year. From now on I will maintain a changelog.
