no images shown in storefront theme

  • I’m on gentoo linux with nginx, installed a fresh wordpress 6.5.2, tried with php 8.3, 8.2 and 8.1 and the results are the same. after installing a fresh wordpress, i go to themes and install the storefront theme, then when i go to the web page i don’t see the main page image of the theme. i have debug enabled, i don’t get any errors, and i don’t see in the network tab that it’s trying to load any images. i don’t have that problem with any other theme. any ideas?
