If I enable Adaptive images on my production website, no images load for mobile or desktop. As far as possible my localhost mirrors this environment, using PHP7.1, Apache etc. I pushed the files using wordmove so resaved plugin settings in case something needed to be rewritten there.

I have checked cloudflare is disabled for this site.
I also tried disabling Wordfence just in case that was causing a problem.

Permissions on the cache folder are 755.

I have saved copies of the log outputs in plugin settings if you would need to see those.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello, my friend, and thank you for reaching out to us!

I would ask you to enable the plugin for me, so that I can take a look at your website, but I understand the problem of the images not loading in a production website is very important. So, I will try to figure it out asynchronously first.

Could you please send me the results of the Print debug and Print diagnostics buttons in the plugin settings page?

Also, I noticed that you are using HTTPS in your website. Can you make sure that the urls in your /wp-admin Settings > General do indeed contain the HTTPS and not the HTTP protocol as well?

(The latter is a small issue that will be fixed in a future version of the plugin, but, for the time being, the protocols need to match!)

    Cheers,
    Takis

Hi Takis, thanks so much for replying promptly.

Yes, I should really mirror the site on a staging url, but don’t yet have a fast way to spin that up.
I did check that the domain is correctly set as https://

I preferred to email you the log results, hope that’s ok ??

Yes, of course it’s OK, I will check your email and post my findings here in the end as well!

Mystery was finally solved, after contacting the server administrator and finding out that there were some issues with the filesystem permissions of the website. Once the permissions were restored to the recommended 755 and 644, the plugin worked as expected!

Hope this helps other users with problems, as well.

    Cheers,
    Takis
