• Hi –

I’m using WordPress 3.4 with Hatch theme version 0.1.9 on the following site:

    https://ideastakeflight.org

The problem I’m having is that the site is displaying incorrectly in IE 7.0

    1. All images are not loading correctly.
    2. The post title is displayed incorrectly in relation to the featured image on each post.

All is fine in Firefox and Chrome. I’ve validated the code here:

    https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ideastakeflight.org&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

And there are only two errors, which to my mind are non-issues.

Does anyone know any different with regard to the validation errors or have an idea why IE 7.0 would struggle with the theme / wordpress 3.4? I’ve set up quite a few sites which are running older versions of wordpress / using other themes and never had this problem.

It’s an issue as the organisation I’m setting the site up for have IE 7.0 installed on all of their machines.

Thanks in advance for any help…

    ??

.. I’ve fixed this now – the problem was related to image encoding.

Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 couldn’t handle the jpg’s I was using. Internet Explorer 9 / Firefox / Safari / Chrome were fine all along.

When I converted the images to an adaptive GIF format the problem was resolved.

Now to tackle the issue with the post title. Any ideas appreciated.
