• I cannot get RSS feeds to show images on the sidebar of my blog. I’m not talking about my RSS feed, I’m talking about RSS feeds coming into my page.

I have a blog hosted by IXwebhosting. I’m using WordPress and Artisteer because I don’t know programming language.

These are feeds on my sidebar from various websites I like. I’ve tried the standard RSS plugin that WordPress comes with as well as Super RSS Reader, NextGEN Media RSS and a host of other RSS plugins but none of them will display images from these links.

As a point of reference I’ve tried various widgets for RSS feeds and they do work but they are nearly impossible to customize to my page.

I’ve tried a large number of forums and I either don’t get an answer or they think I’m talking about MY RSS feed and not the ones coming INTO my blog.

Please help. Thanks so much for any help you can give.

  • Are your feed links (URLs) correct? Granted that I’m just poking around on the html source of your site but there are a nubmer of links that look like feeds. Quite few seem to have problems. A Huffington post feed doesn’t validate and the dailykos ones like this one– https://feeds.dailykos.com/~r/dailykos/index/~3/-Xx2KjS2JFg/-Your-Abbreviated-Pundit-Round-up– (I only checked a couple) trigger a ‘this isn’t a feed at all’ message from the validator. The dailykos feed ending in ‘index.xml’ is accepted as a feed though an invalid one. I’m thinking that is part of the problem.

Go back to the ones that work. Why can’t you customize them to your blog?
