No images display

    I have reinstalled WP a few times now, always with same result.
    Default theme show broken links for images in both the theme manager as well as the pages of the site.
    But going directly to image URL copied from the broken page, the image shows.

    When I reinstall, I drop the tables. I delete all files. I delete directory on webserver. Then I decompress the tarball and start over.

    I have chmod -R 775 and 777 the theme’s directory and even wp-content to no avail. Uploading new images have same results: can’t see rendered in page but going directly to image URL works.

    What am I missing?

  • Check that anti-hotlinking isn’t enabled in your hosting account. If it is, try disabling it.

    Problem solved! Now to work on regrowing my hair ….
