    Ok so I’m trying to transfer over a site I created on my local machine to my host. Everything seemed fine until I went to install (on Bluehost). Database creation is fine, then at the end of the install it shows me as having one warning (no errors though). This is the warning:

    WP-CONFIG WARNING: The wp-config.php has one or more of these values “WP_CONTENT_DIR, WP_CONTENT_URL, WPCACHEHOME, COOKIE_DOMAIN, WP_SITEURL, WP_HOME, WP_TEMP_DIR” which may cause issues please validate these values by opening the file.

    I then try to resave the permalinks and the link wants to go to https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php but actually goes to https://mydomain.commydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to…..

    Not sure why it’s trying to put my domain twice in a row. When I try to ‘test entire site’ it loads the site but there are lots of broken images and there is no theme/css styling. I’ve tried searching and checked permissions, checked my wpconfig.php and erase my site url address and that gets rid of the double domain name but leads me to a 404 page. Not sure what is wrong but I’m going to have to place my original site back up until I figure it out because I can’t have the site down. Any help is appreciated but unfortunately I can’t provide a url.

    Hey menappi,

    Check your wp-config.php file it most likely didn’t get parsed correctly as one of the constants has a dynamic variable in it…

    See this thread:

    I read that page and did what they said in the wo-config.php file and it seems to have fixed the duplicate domain issue but now when i try to resave permalinks it gives me a 404 error. Also, on the main page (and on the 404 page) there is no styling and there are broken images.

    Running out of ideas! Maybe I should try another plug in??? No easier way to transfer over a basic site from my local machine to my host?

    Hey menappi,

    There are a few other plugins, you might try xcloner, Backup Buddy is also pretty good!

    If you still want to work with this one you might checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: https://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “2. Installer=> Post Install”

    Hope that helps!
