no image on facebook when sharing link

  • Sry for my english.

    there was a problem and (i think) i found the solution.

    I had an issue with this theme – when i tried to share link to blog page on facebook, a had no image (just white square). I tried plugins, code for funcion.php and it did nothing. Then i just tried to change method of generating permalink in setting and it did work! i changed from default to “same as post name” or something like that – i have WP in PL.

    i have removed custom code from functions.php, but left plugin “Add image_src Meta Tag” turned on, so i dont know if this helping or do nothing… i recommed to install it. Or try without it, your call.

    Hope it will help someone with same issue

    Thanks for sharing your current solution. I would recommend using the WordPress SEO plugin for this.

    In addition to SEO functionality, it adds the “open graph” data to your posts so that your images will show in Facebook when you share posts. The plugin can also do the same for Twitter and Google Plus.
