I recently have started the Graphene theme for my wordpress site. I just made my first post on the site and the image on the post is working just fine. However, on the slider, it shows the text of the post and a small box for the image with a red “x” in it. I want the image to display in the slider instead of this “x”. This may be a simple fix (hopefully) but I’m somewhat new to this wordpress stuff. Thanks in advanced for all the help and support!

What is the URL of your site?

The link to my site is: https://www.thecouponadventure.com.

Can’t tell what the problem is because you have disabled the slider.

One idea: you did upload the images to your own server, yes? You weren’t hotlinking?

I have just reenabled the slider. I’m not sure what hotlinking is. Thank you for you help. All I did was:
    1.) Went to google images
2.) Click on an image I want
3.) Go to full size image
4.) Copied the url of that image’s page
    5.) Went to wordpress dashboard
6.) Created a post and inserted the image’s url into the box

From there the red x went into the slider of the image.

What you just described is hotlinking. The slider will not display images that are hotlinked.

Instead, save the images to your computer, and then upload them directly into your post, so that they go into your blog’s database. Then they will appear in your slider.

    Ok, thank you!

I didn’t know if there was a way to do it from hotlinking. I guess not. Thanks!

Nope. The jQuery slider can only pull images from the database.
