No ids are inserted into headings

This plugin is not compatible with the Gutenburg block editor. I need to update it, I’m sorry.

It is planned, but the block editor works ina completely different way, it all needs to happen in javascript instead of php. It will require basically starting from scratch.

I’m sorry…no timeline…it is a bit of a major project and my time for plugin development is limited these days.

The block editor does make this somewhat easier: if you add a heading to a page, that heading can have an “id” attribute added by going to the block properties (column on the right in the editor), under the “advanced” tab, you can set the “HTML anchor” for the heading.

Once that is done, you can use the linker to set up a link that goes to that anchor.

The UI could be improved, but it’s not as difficult as it was with the old classig editor.
