    Hey guys,

I really like your plugin, great work!

Unfortunately, there is a small problem: According to GDPR here in Germany, it’s required (or at least strongly recommended) to put a link pointing to the privacy policy in the Compliance Checkbox Consent Text, but no HTML is allowed.

How do I achieve this? Without this feature the plugin is insufficient to me.

    With regards,
    Philipp

    Hi Philipp,

Yes, I’m well aware of this issue. I knew that by stripping HTML from the compliance checkbox text we would lose URLs. I still haven’t thought of an ideal solution for this. Here are my two current ideas…

    (1) You can use a URL without hyperlinking it, e.g. by just pasting the plaintext into the compliance checkbox area.

    (2) You can use the URL as your Merge Field Opt-In Value

Will either of those work? Do you have any other ideas?

We could allow only URLs in the Checkbox Compliance Text but it might get ugly for some users (i.e. a bunch of <a> tags for URLs they don’t really need).

Alternatively, we could add a filter so you could add your own URL to note.

Let me know what you think.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

Edit: just in case I misunderstood your question, you can put HTML in your Checkbox Compliance Text but this HTML won’t be saved with your subscriber.
