I have read numerous WordPress Support Forum posts regarding this issue, however most of them mention about permalinks.

I have enabled Pretty Permalinks, and they work fine and dandy. My FTP client is configured to be able to see hidden files, and yet the .htaccess file is not there.

Surely if the file is not present then the Pretty Permalinks should not be working?

I am asking this question about the .htaccess file as somebody on StackOverflow suggested that the reason the Vebra Properties plugin isn’t working is because of a problem with the .htaccess file.

I’d appreciate any help you guys can provide.

@JonasVorwork I tried what you said, still having the 500 Internal Server Error whenever I try to get into the Vebra Properties section in the backend.

Looking at it, everything seems to be going through the web.config file.

The problem was that the website was being hosted on a Windows Server, thus meaning that it doesn’t use .htaccess. It has since been moved to a Linux/PHP server.
