    Hi,

This is total noob question but I really hope that someone can help point me in the right direction.

I have a menu on my website and for the mobile site, I would prefer a toggle button that opens the menu to having 5 lines of menu, taking up about one third of the space on the mobile device.

I have tried different settings for the threshold pixel width but no matter what I do, nothing happens on the mobile device.

I hope you can explain how to achieve this.

    Take care,

    Thor

    Hi Thor,

On mobile, I see the toggle button and it works correctly for me. Have you already resolved this? (If not, please provide further information)

    Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.

No, unfortunately, I have not resolved the issue. As I couldn’t get the MegaMenu to work, I deactivated it and just used the button that is part of my theme (Pagelines). There are two problem with that toggle button that I hope to address using MegaMenu:

    – The menu on the mobile is aligned center. If I choose left alignment, that also affects the alignment on the desktop browsers where I prefer the center alignment. So hopefully, I can have one alignment on mobile and one alignment on desktop. Is this possible?

    – If you try using the toggle button on the mobile, you will see that you need to press and hold to open the menu, which I find quite frustrating. I would prefer the “click to open” option, that I see in the MegaMenu options.

I have now activated MegaMenu again but have not been sucessfull in getting any of the things I select in MegaMenu to be reflected on the site.

I hope you can help me in the right direction.

Once again, thanks for your help.

    Hi ultimathor,

    Thanks for the further information.

I’m not sure if installing MMM is the correct ‘fix’ to work around the issues you are having with the theme menu. Unless you need some of the features within MMM, I think it would be better to contact your theme authors and ask them to help you tweak the theme menu.

I’ve taken a look at PageLines and it appears to be a premium theme that might not do things the standard way, which would explain why you’re having trouble enabling MMM. I can see you’ve created a custom menu location and enabled MMM for it, but it looks like you will need to edit your themes header.php file (if it has one) and paste in the “PHP Code” to output the menu.

    Hi ultimathor,

I’ve been looking around the PageLines website, and it seems like you might be “locked in” to using their own extensions. I see they have their pwn mega menu plugin/extension:

    https://www.pagelines.com/product/pl-section-meganav/

I think you would need to ask PageLines support if it would be possible to make the theme work with mega menu plugins.

    Hi,

Thanks again for your help. I managed to solve the problems with the MegaNav, that you mentioned. It does not do the trick entirely but it works.

I had previously posted a question on the Pagelines support forum but received no answer. That’s why I started looking for alternative solutions.

    Take care,

    Thor
