No “Get ShortLink”

Fortunately my hosting service doesn’t seem to force me to use the Blocks. So I have never seen them before.

But I am now on a client site that uses these Blocks. and there is no longer the Get Shortlink.

I am talking about the link that is like 6 characters long, not the “permalink” that is 30 characters long.

I see some things on line about getting shorlinks that require going to multuiple pages and take about 8 steps, when I used to just click Get Shortlink.

I would like to assume there is some simple way to just get the shortlink, like there have been for years now.
