No Folders in download

  • I just downloaded the 2.0.1 zip file and when unzipped, there are no folders (all the files are just in the main directory). Perhaps knowing better, I uploaded it anyway and predictably, when I go to the install page it tells me it can’t find the config file apparently because it’s supposed to be in a wp-admin folder but there isn’t one (although I do have the file). I don’t see any directions for creating folders to put these files in… But it appears as though I have everything (315 files in the zip).

    Am I missing something?

  • Try re-downloading the zip. There’s 3 directories that should be there (wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes). I just downloaded the .zip from www.remarpro.com and the directory structure is intact (315 files is correct though!)

    Well, I’ve downloaded it four times and it’s all the same. I don’t see anything in WinZip that could be causing it… but apparently it’s just me!

    What program did you use to open the zip file?

    If you’re using WinZip, make sure you have the “use folder names” box ticked. Other zip programs will have something similar.

    Oh for pete’s sake, I opened it with something else & they’re all there. Thanks anyway.
