No feed items found unless logged in as Moderator

I have been trying to get Aggregator to work on my staging site. Installation went without a hitch, feeds are imported, template looks ok, placed widget in the R column and it looked great…until I logged out: No feed items found. Log back in (bbpress keymaster role) looks great. Have tried many permutations of wordpress and bbpress roles and found it does not matter what the wordpress role is but once the bbpress role falls below moderator: No feed items found. I have checked the template and settings permissions (limits?) and all seems right. I have tried other locations without luck, I see others have had this problem with display and login status but could not find a resolution. Nothing seems wrong in the log. Thank you for any help you may have.
